Theory: maybe chanting the mantras (apah punantu...) purifies you but also changes you to avoid bad foods and gifts etc. that would solve the strange "instant purification" hack.
Timings: Daytime, we have seen, is divided into eight parts. But it can also be divided into five, each of six nadikas. If the sun rises at 6, 6 to 8. 24 is morning or "pratah-kala"; 8. 24 to 10. 48 is "sangava-kala"; and 10. 48 to 1. 12 is "madhyahnika". From 1. 12 to 3. 36 it is "aparahna"; and from 3. 36 to 6 (or sunset) is "sayam-kala". (The time close to sunset is "pradosa". "Dosa" means night, the prefix "pra" meaning "pre" or "before". The English "pre' is derived from "pra". Pradosa thus is the time before night).
(Praah-sandhya is best performed in the presence of Stars on the Sky; when Stars are invisible then the time of Sandhya is of medium type but when Suryodaya has taken place then the Sandhyopaasna is of minimal value. Conversely, the Saayam Sandhya is best done while Surya is still present, after Sunset the Sandhya is of medium worth but when Stars appear on the Sky the Sandhya worship is of poor quality.
Like Christ, Savitri is a solar-being.

Need to charge body with devatas so the gayatri can get stored in your body
"Due to the medicine of chanting the names Achyuta, Ananta, Govinda all diseases crumble and vanish"
"> Without having realized God one cannot give up rituals altogether. How long should one practise the sandhya and other forms of ritualistic worship? As long as one does not shed tears of joy at the name of God and feel a thrill in one's body. You will know that your ritualistic worship has come to an end when your eyes become filled with tears as you repeat 'Om Rama'. Then you do not have to continue your sandhya or other rituals. When the fruit appears the blossom drops off." - Sri Ramakrishna

I offer myself to the great light of sun, after the purifications of my sins as a result of this prayer. Let this offering be done well
